Coventry and Warwickshire is home to many of the world’s

leading companies such as Jaguar Land Rover, E.ON, Aston

Martin, Severn Trent, Peugeot Citroën, Rolls-Royce, IBM, the

Tata Group and BMW, as well as the renowned universities of

Coventry and Warwick.

There is a global research and development focus at key

assets including the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC),

the Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG), Jaguar Land Rover

and HORIBA MIRA along with the two universities.

The CWLEP wants to make Coventry &Warwickshire an

attractive place to live and work by building on the vibrancy and

diversity of business and leisure facilities throughout the area.

The area has an excellent central location since it is at the heart

of the rail andmotorway network, with London only an hour away

by train and the second city of Birmingham just a short drive

away – factorswhich are important to attracting inward investors.

The Coventry &Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership

(CWLEP) was established in 2011 as a partnership between

private and public sector organisations.

Over the last five years, the CWLEP has made great progress

in helping to bring added growth to the area’s economy and

built a strong track record of success.

The CWLEP has recently updated its

Coventry &Warwickshire

Strategic Economic Plan (SEP) to continue to

stimulate

growth, create jobs and provide a pipeline of projects across

the region.

The SEP, which was first published in 2014, has been updated

to reflect the progress that has been made in the local economy

over the last two years.

The CWLEP’s refreshed SEP is focused around five strategic

pillars to allowCoventry &Warwickshire to achieve its potential;

The CWLEP has established eight business groups which aim

to improve business conditions in a range of key areas – and

are designed to allow growth and increase economic prosperity.

The Government established Local Enterprise Partnerships to help determine local economic

priorities, lead financial growth and create jobs in their area.
