Swansea University’s role in industry research and development stretches right back to its
establishment in 1920 at the request of industry itself. Swansea University’s new Science and
Innovation Bay Campus and the redevelopment of the existing Singleton Park Campus will mark
the next step in the University’s journey to become a top 2% world-leading University.
Voted Welsh University of the Year in The Times and Sunday Times’ Good University Guide 2017,
Swansea University plays a major role in driving the knowledge economy and has World Class
research strengths working with multinational business and academic institutions across the globe

Wedi'i phleidleisio fel Prifysgol y Flwyddyn Cymru yn The Times and Sunday Times’ Good University
Guide 2017, mae Prifysgol Abertawe'n chwarae rhan bwysig mewn ysgogi'r economi wybodaeth,
ac mae ganddi gryfderau ymchwil o safon fyd-eang, gan weithio gyda sefydliadau academaidd
a busnesau rhyngwladol ledled y byd mewn sectorau blaenoriaeth twf megis Gweithgynhyrchu
Uwch a Pheirianneg, yr Economi Digidol a'r Gwyddorau Bywyd a Meddygol.
Yn ogystal â darpariaeth academaidd, mae gan y Brifysgol gyfleusterau chwaraeon a diwylliannol
i'w cenfigennu, gan gynnwys y Pentref Chwaraeon gwerth £20 miliwn, sy'n gartref i Bwll
Cenedlaethol Cymru, a'r Neuadd Fawr eiconig ar Gampws y Bae a Chanolfan y Celfyddydau
Taliesin ar Gampws Parc Singleton. Mae'r Brifysgol yn cynnig cyfleusterau cynadledda a llety
