Swansea Council
The Council is working with its local partners to
create a unique business location, with access to
cutting-edge university expertise and a high quality
of life within an outstanding natural environment.
There are ambitious plans to transform Swansea City
Centre through new commercial, housing, retail and
leisure developments that will create jobs and growth,
and strengthen Swansea’s role as the economic
driver for the Swansea Bay City Region.
Complementing this, major investments by both
Swansea University and University of Wales Trinity
St David are generating a step-change in research
and learning capacity and in academic/industry
collaboration - further enhancing Swansea's position
as a City of Innovation.

Ceir cynlluniau uchelgeisiol i drawsnewid canol
dinas Abertawe drwy ddatblygiadau masnachol, tai,
manwerthu a hamdden a fydd yn creu swyddi a thwf,
yn ogystal â chryfhau rôl Abertawe fel ysgogwr
economaidd ar gyfer Dinas-ranbarth Bae Abertawe.
I ategu hyn, mae buddsoddiadau sylweddol Brifysgol
Abertawe a Phrifysgol Cymru y Drindod Dewi Sant yn
creu newid o ran ymchwil a gallu dysgu ac ym maes
cydweithio yn academaidd/diwydiannol - gan wella
sefyllfa Abertawe fel dinas arloesedd ymhellach.
The University of Wales Trinity Saint David
The University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD) is the oldest Royal Chartered University in Wales and is proud to have as
its Patron His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales. We are part of the UWTSD Group, a multi- institutional collaborative venture
owned and governed by the University, with Coleg Sir Gâr and Coleg Ceredigion as constituent colleges. The Group offers an
integrated, FE-HE approach to education for the benefit of learners, employers and communities.
The University’s main campuses are situated in various locations in and around Swansea’s city centre as well as in the counties
of Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion in South West Wales. The Wales International Academy of Voice, under the Directorship of
Dennis O’Neill with Dame Kiri Te Kanawa as its patron, is located in Cardiff and, in addition, the University has a campus in
London for international students.
