consultants and companies offering services these
days, it can be confusing and time consuming to hunt
down who can help you. Well, Merton Chamber of
Commerce can. Why? Because if we don’t provide the
service ourselves, we can link you up with those who
do through our partnerships with other agencies.
Helping businesses set up, develop and

Our aim is to support you wherever you are in the
business cycle. Whether you have one employee or
250, and whether you’re thinking about starting or
have been in business for generations, our information,
advice, support, consultancy, networking and training
has been designed with business in mind.
On a tight budget?
You’ll find our prices difficult to beat. And, because of
our partnerships and access to government funding,
we can often provide heavily subsidised or completely
free services.
Now that you know who we are, here’s a taster of
what we run:
• Last year, we hooked up with over 3,000 businesses
and gave one-to-one support to over 600.
• We’ve helped those with a seed of an idea for their
business, all the way up to businesses that employ
250 people or more and are looking at expansion,
and most types of business in between.
• For a business question, you can simply contact our
Business Helpdesk and receive free advice on

• For getting your business ‘finance ready’ to grow
your business or trade out of overdraft, you can
meet with our specialist finance advisers.
• We have over 600 members, so joining the
Chamber will help you expand your network,
and help you overcome barriers to your business
success.
• Our series of workshops and training opportunities
are designed to support your business.
• We manage a business centre established to
nurture new and existing businesses.
• We support and advise businesses in energy,
efficiency and managing waste through the
Greening Business programme. This enables
each participating business to access 12 hours
of support tailored to their specific needs and
priorities.
