THE DALLAS BURSTON POLO CLUB
CELEBRATES TWO PHENOMENAL YEARS –
WITH THE IMPRESSIVE SUCCESS SET TO CONTINUE
The Dallas Burston Polo Club has enjoyed a phenomenal two years
thanks to a major investment as part of the venue’s ambitious
expansion plans.
The 600-acre site in the heart of Warwickshire is already home to the
IXL Events Centre, six polo grounds, a stunning and fully licensed
wedding venue, a 2.4 acre all-weather Martin Collins EcoTrack
SuperArena and the colonial Clubhouse.
And in the summer the supreme multi-purpose venue increased its
offering with a new £1.5m bar and lounge, the Millstone Hare, which
created 20 new jobs and helped boost visitor numbers.
These impressive facilities in Southam are set to expand even
further over the next 18 months with plans to open a new 100-bed
hotel and 100 new luxury lodges.
These exciting plans form part of a £122m scheme which will create
hundreds of new jobs and see the site become a holiday destination
in its own right. The new development will also help reinforce the
club’s commitment to the local region.
In the last year, conference and events bookings for the impressive
IXL Events Centre have risen by 60% compared to last year and
the wedding arm of the business has enjoyed huge success with
bookings almost doubling and the venue being named Best Purpose
Built Wedding Venue accolade at this year’s impressive Midlands
Asian Wedding Awards.
In 2017, the venue will be host once again to the annual Polo in the
Park fun day, which this year welcomed more than 3,000 visitors
from the UK and overseas – the highest attendance in its five-year
history, as well as the ever popular Ladies Day and Fine and Country.
Major Richard Carney, Director of Operations
for the Dallas Burston Group, said:
“
This is a development which will
benefit Warwickshire massively. We
are confident that this investment will
increase footfall to the local region,
helping many businesses to thrive.
As a business, we have enjoyed an
incredible couple of years which has
seen us double our workforce, increase
our bookings for conferences and events
and welcome more visitors to the site.
We have also secured a number of
prestigious awards which recognise
the hard work and commitment of our
team at the Dallas Burston Polo Club.
This success looks set to continue in
2017 with more exciting plans on the
horizon including expanding the
business even further and creating
more jobs for the local community.
