The range of training available is extensive and supports

individuals to gain accredited qualifications at level 2 and below

and units of qualifications at level 3 and above. There is also

a focus on supporting those aged over 50, people with

disabilities, ethnic minorities, those that need support with

basic skills and females to improve their labour market status.

An Organisational Training Needs Analysis is conducted with

eligible SMEs to identify the skills gaps in the workplace which

are creating a barrier to growth. CWS4G, together with the

employer, identify what the skills gaps of the business are and

a Skills Training Package is developed to meet those needs.

Employees participate in training activity and work towards

achieving a qualification to meet business requirements and

close skills gaps with the intention to drive growth and improve

productivity, innovation and competitiveness.

All skills provision is delivered by leading training providers,

each a specialist within their sector, ensuring that local SMEs

will benefit from high quality training and skills development.

Eligibility for funding checks will be carried out with the

employer and employees by the project.

The programme is part funded by the European Social Fund

and managed by Coventry City Council in partnership with the

Coventry &Warwickshire LEP. Coventry &Warwickshire

stakeholders. A 50% contribution of funding for all eligible

training costs will be made by the project.
