Welcome to the seventh edition of Wychavon’s Business Guide, produced by the Council’s Regeneration
team. The Guide provides invaluable information for existing enterprises and for businesses thinking of
relocating to Droitwich Spa, Evesham, Pershore or the many villages throughout Wychavon. It demon-
strates the wide range of goods and services available in Wychavon, an area of increasing growth and
advantage to the business sector.
The Regeneration team are available to support local businesses. They are active in doing so with
our small business grants scheme, and with their promotion of the district for inward investment.
Most importantly they put the business case forward in applications for commercial development,
and help to ensure that the district has a good supply of employment land to support economic
development and jobs for the future.
One of our priorities and promises is to improve skill levels by increasing the number of work placements
and apprenticeships offered by local organisations, businesses and Wychavon District Council. We have
demonstrated a strong support for apprentices, currently employing five Business Administration level 2
apprentices across the organization in Human Resources, Customer Services, Housing, Planning,
Property and Parking, and we will also be recruiting an apprentice to IT shortly.
The apprentices work full time within the council
undertaking a range of duties within the office
environment; they also attend College for two
afternoons a month. Some previous apprentices
have been successful in securing permanent roles
and progressing through the organization.

skills, economic activity in our town centres,
or tourism and the local events programme,
then the team is available and willing to help you.
