The Rt Hon William Hague - Click to expand As Member of Parliament for Richmond, Yorkshire, I warmly welcome the first ever publication of the Richmondshire Business Directory. Congratulations are due to Richmondshire District Council and all who have helped in putting it together.

It can be surprising to see the variety and scope of the businesses now operating in Richmondshire, and this Directory is certainly revealing. But more than that, it will help local businesses to use each other, and local residents to buy from businesses near their home whenever possible. There are many of us in the area who prefer to spend our money locally whenever we can!

I hope all residents will therefore find this a highly useful publication, and will look forward to its second edition. In the meantime, I trust the businesses listed in it will succeed and prosper.
