It is one example of the local authorities' strong commitment to working together to develop a thriving, competitive business environment - a commitment enshrined in the sub-region's new strategy 'Raising the Game.'
New for the 2007/8 edition are in depth profiles on a number of sectors that are important to this area including marine, aerospace, financial services and the creative industries. These profiles have been contributed by people who are respected in their fields. Their purpose is to promote those sectors and encourage the take up of specialist services by businesses operating in them.
Also new is a commitment to a wider distribution of this publication not just in the UK but also overseas as part of a campaign to raise the profile of Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch and Dorset. These are exciting times for the area; new business opportunities are emerging especially those associated with The London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games. With the world's spotlight on this area, it is important to tell people what the business community can offer.
